I have lived in that beautiful country for one and a half years, my husband is from there.
His family and our friends are still in Nepal. From some we know already that they are safe... from other we didn't get any news.
From my personal experience I know that the water from the tanks or tabs is no good for drinking... already in normal times.
I cannot even imagine how it is like now. The resources are scarce.
Some villages affected were just reachable by foot or helicopter before the quake, so it is really hard for those who want to help to reach them now.
I'm sitting at home, waiting for calls from loved ones and feeling so helpless.
The only thing I can do is send positives thoughts to those I love and donate a little money. I hate to ask for money so I came up with an idea:
If you commission me till 31st of May I will send all the money to charity to help the people in Nepal!

About the charities I want to support:
I already gathered some information about different charities.
I pay attention on how transperant they work and how much percentage of the money will be used for administration.
Depending on how many commissions I get I will split the money between two or three.
I want to support a local NGO named "Rettungshunde für Nepal" (rescue dogs for Nepal).
One office is near my hometown in Germany and the other office is in the hometown of my husbands family in Nepal.
This is the first organisation that goes to the isolated villages with medicine, provisions, rescue dogs etc..
On the other hand I want to support a bigger organisation like Direct Relief, Red Cross, Caritas, Save the children... not sure which one yet.
That depends on how much effort they put in Nepal and what machines etc. they bring, for example water purification.
